All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Lone Mountain Cemetery--Carson City NV Diggs, Burl Luther Burl Luther Diggs, 84, a Carson City, NV resident since 1984, was held on Tuesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City. Mr. Diggs passed away on August 25, 2005. Burl was born on April 3, 1921 in Milburn, Oklahoma to Lee and Melinda Cantrell Diggs. He married Pauline Travis on May 7, 1938 in Hugo, OK. Before coming to Carson City he lived in Oklahoma City where he was a truck driver for Western Gillette Trucking Co. Retiring from trucking after 22 years, he moved to Newella, OK in 1962 where he had a small ranch with cattle and horses. He sold the ranch in 1980. He was a member of Newella Riding Club and rode in several parades. He enjoyed RVing and spent time at Apache Junction in Pintop, AZ. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Airport Church of Christ, and was an avid rodeo fan. Burl is preceded in death by his son Wayne in 1982, five sisters and his parents. He is survived by his wife Pauline Diggs and son Burl Roy Diggs both of Carson City, NV, 2 sisters, 2 brothers; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
