Elsie Juanell Garrett

Elsie Juanell "Nell" Garrett, 55, of Amarillo, died Saturday, May 9, 1998.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Ellis of Trinity Fellowship Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.
Mrs. Garrett was born in Bromide, Okla. She moved to Amarillo 20 years ago. She married Curtis Garrett in 1957 at Tulia. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Dale Garrett, Gerald Garrett, Scott Garrett, Cary Garrett and Nicky Garrett, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Melanie Edwards of Amarillo; her parents, Nathan and Kristene Ellis of Memphis; four sisters, Dorothy Brummett and Juanita Newton, both of Canyon, Perlene Johnson of Amarillo and Merlene McDermott of Memphis; 17 grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild.
