All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Tishomingo City Cemetery--Tishomingo OK Goodman, Martha Sue Martha Sue Goodman, 72, was born June 16, 1930 in Tishomingo, OK and passed away March 2, 2003 in Tishomingo, OK. She moved to Tishomingo, OK from Arlington County, VA where she had lived from 1958 to 1980 (22yrs). Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the United Methodist Church, Tishomingo, OK with Reverend Mary Ewing and Reverend Carl Hayes officiating. Interment will be at the Tishomingo City Cemetery. Martha graduated from Tishomingo High School and earned a Bachelor's in Education from University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK and a Master's in Education from American University, Washington, DC. She married Lowell Wayne Goodman on July 23, 1948 in Denison, TX. She was a retired public school teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tishomingo, OK, Delta Kappa Gamma and Extension Homemakers. Survivors are: son, Lowell 'Randy' Randall Goodman of the home; daughter, Mahala Sue Gardner and husband Lee Spence of Southlake, TX; 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by: husband, Lowell Wayne Goodman; parents, John Monroe Whiteley and Mary Mahala (Watkins) Whiteley; and sister, Mary Lou McCurry. Casket Bearers will be: Randy Goodman, David Gardner, Michael Gardner, Spence Gardner, Pat LaFevers, Donald Maxwell, Steven Paul Warden, Wendell LaFevers. Memorials may be made to the Vera Taylor 4-H Scholarship Fund, c/o 5 Murray Campus, Tishomingo, Oklahoma or the Salvation Army. Services are under the direction of Campbell-Watts Funeral Home, Tishomingo, OK.
