Mixon, 92, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, in Claude. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel in Pampa with the Rev. Bob Meller, former pastor of First Baptist Church in Mobeetie, officiating. Burial will be in Mobeetie Cemetery. Mr. Mixon was born Nov. 15, 1910, in Ravia, Okla. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mobeetie. Survivors include three daughters, Juanell Brooks of Amarillo, Bobbie Burchfield of Oklahoma City and Jerry Meller of Mobeetie; a son, Leonard Mixon of Tishomingo, Okla.; a brother, Marion Mixon of Lovington, N.M.; a sister, Jo Gales of Elk City, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
