April 9, 2003. She was born in Tishomingo, OK on June 3, 1919 to Earl and Effie Ann (Caldwell) Brownlee. She came to Oklahoma City in Oct. 1952. Anna married Ernie Prater on August 3, 1963 in OKC. She was currently serving on the Board of Directors of the OK Bluegrass Club as Membership Chairman and has served in that capacity the last 21 years. Until her husband's death, she played bass in the family band 'Country Bluegrass'. She loved flowers especially roses and working in her flower garden. She is survived by a daughter, Pat Pogue of Okla. City; step-son, George Prater and wife, Nancy of Okla. City; stepdaughter, Rowena Bailey and husband Phil; 4 grandsons, Ray Walls and wife Debbie of Del City, Robert Prater and wife Belinda of Abernathy, TX, Richard Prater of Edwards, CO and Glen Bailey of Okla. City, OK; 3 granddaughters Susan Walls of McLoud, OK; Lisa Tabor of Okla. City, and Gayla Rojo and husband Chris of Midwest City; great grandchildren: Courtney, Jeremy, Amy, Robby, and Becky Walls, Jordan, Griffin, and Saralynn Prater, Nicole Tabor, Joshua, Serena and Zachary Rojo; 2 brothers, Dick Brownlee and wife Clara, Cecil Brownlee and wife Shirley; numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernie Prater, brother Earl, Jr., grandson Brad Walls and son-in-law Larry Pogue. Services will be 2 pm Mon., April 14, 2003 at Bill Eisenhour S.E. Chapel, burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
