All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED EDNA RASMUSSEN October 8, 1916 December 6, 2006 Edna entered into the loving arms of her Lord on Wednesday evening, December 6, 2006, in Petaluma, California, at the age of 90. Edna Bessie Pittman was born to Etta Mae and Elton Turner Pittman in Connerville, Oklahoma on October 8, 1916. Edna made the move to California in 1938. She married Robert Rasmussen on November 2, 1952, in Madera. They enjoyed the gift of 47 years of marriage until Bob's death on January 8, 2000. Edna and Bob were members of Community Brethren Church for over 40 years. She was active in her community serving as a volunteer for Angels on Wheels, the American Cancer Society, and as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 594 for many years. The greatest joys of her life were her relationship with God, her husband Bob, her children, grandchildren, family, friends and her little dog Chelsea. Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, one brother, and a great-great granddaughter. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne Grasse of Petaluma; twin brothers, Floyd and Boyd Pittman of Oklahoma; daughters, Faye Wall and Patsy Hill; son, Ronald Rasmussen and his wife Nancy; seven grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and one great- great grandson. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean on Monday, December 11, 2006, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. As a last request, Edna wishes that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to Nancy Hinds Hospice, Petaluma Hospice, Community Brethren Church, or to the donor's favorite charity.
