Sims, 92, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Hart with the Rev. Kelly Inman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Tulia by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Sims was born in Pontotoc, Okla. She lived in Tulia from 1928 to 1967, when she moved to Dimmitt. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tulia. She married Charlie N. Sims in 1923 at McLean. He died in 1964. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth W. Sims and Walter N. Sims. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Nelson of Hart; a brother, Charlie E. Sims of Ruidoso, N.M.; a half brother, Adrian Broughton of Ardmore, Okla.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity.
