Vern Taylor MULESHOE - C.L. Vern Taylor, 79, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Church of Christ in Muleshoe with Eddie Wilson and John Gulley, both of Muleshoe, officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Canyon Dreamland Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor was born in Emmet, Okla., and served in the Navy during World War II. He moved to Muleshoe from Plainview in 1966. He was a wood craftsman, builder and irrigation specialist and a member of 16th and Avenue D Church of Christ. He married Robin Harbin in 1954. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Taylor of Spur; a daughter, Jean Parker of Happy; two sisters, Jorene Kirkland of Amarillo and Glenda McInroe of Bowie; a brother, Lee Roy Taylor of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family requests memorials be to Christian Relief Fund, P.O. Box 19670, Amarillo, TX 79114.
