All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::West Park Cemetery--Hereford TX Guy Weddel HEREFORD ó Guy Weddel, 85, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Central Church of Christ with Johnny Eastep officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Weddel was born Dec. 13, 1918, in Milburn, Okla., the son of George and Gussie Weddel. He married Thelma Altman on March 27, 1954, in Clovis, N.M. Mr. Weddel was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps as a B-17 gunner. He was very proud that he had flown 35 missions over enemy territory during the war. Mr. Weddel farmed in Deaf Smith County since 1964 and was a member of Central Church of Christ in Hereford. He was preceded in death by a daughter. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jimmie Weddel of Henrietta; a daughter, Chasaidy Crawford of Hereford; three brothers, J.C. ìJayî Weddel of Tulia, E.L. Weddel of Amarillo and Elmer Weddel of Arlington; a sister, Avylee Nix of Amarillo; and a grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79109, or the American Cancer Society, Amarillo District Memorial Chair, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
