Copying of the files within by non-commercial individuals and libraries is encouraged. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- William Gaddis 1883-1962 Funeral services for William Gaddis, 78, were to be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gospel Lighthouse Church with burial in Grove Hill Park. Mr. Gaddis died at his home on Route 3, Seagoville, Texas early Sunday morning following a long illness. (Mr. Gaddis died June 3, 1962 in Dallas, Texas.) He was born in Lamar County and was married to Miss Bettie Lee Shepperd Aug. 8, 1906 in Indian Territory. They came to Dallas in 1929 and moved to a farm near Rylie in 1938, where Mr. Gaddis lived until his death. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Nora Nix of Pittsburg, Tx.; Mrs. Betty Green and Mrs. Julia Lyon, both of Seagoville; four sons, Richard Gaddis of Seagoville, John and Douglas Gaddis of Dallas, and Lemuel Gaddis of Ponca City, Okla.; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
