Durant Daily Democrat Wednesday, December 23, 2003 Johnie ‘Non’ White, 89 A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Kenefic Baptist Church for Johnie ‘Non’ White, 89, Kenefic, who died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. The Revs. Bill Jeter and Les Peveyhouse will officiate. He was born Monday, Dec. 21, 1914, in Bromide to Cloud Akins and Beluh Bell (Logan) White. He married Nell Marie Courtney Feb. 14, 1941, in Atoka. He was a lifelong resident of Bryan County and worked at the Kimbell Feed Mill for more than 20 years, then the Katy Railroad for 10 years. He was a member of the Kenefic Baptist Church. After he retired, he loved to help other people. He was awarded Man of the Year in Kenefic in 1991. He also loved to garden and be around people. He served CC Camp. Burial will be in Centerhill Cemetery with pallbearers Jimmy Martin, Albert Haddock, Billy Lambert, Clovis Hall, Gerlad Avant, Dusty Rhodes and Lee White. Family hour is 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
