Bolen, 73, a retired evangelist, minister and missionary, passed on to be with our Father in heaven Wednesday Sept. 21, 2005. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort Worth Nursing and Rehabilitation, 1000 6th Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76104. Charles was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Blackwell, Okla. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Charles was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda A. Ellis; and a sister, Maxine Bolen. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors: Wife of 23 years, Marilyn; son, Christopher Bolen and wife, Nancy, of Raleigh, N.C.; daughter, Susan M. Boelen and Sebastiaan of United Kingdom; stepchildren, Don Lowry of Tomball, Ron Lowry and wife, JoAnne, of Daggett, Mich., and Lynn Melvin of Pamplico, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jim Bolen of Haltom City and Phil Bolen of Dallas.
