Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian with the Rev. Bob Meller, pastor of First Baptist Church in Gem City, officiating. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Evangelical Fellowship Church with Brad Johnson of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mrs. Brown was born in Higgins where she attended Valleyview and Bishop Schools. In 1959, she moved to Hemphill County from Ponca City, Okla. A Canadian resident for the past 15 years, she moved to Amarillo in 1998. She was a homemaker and member of the Lutheran Church. She married Leroy Brown in 1952 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Hughes of Amarillo; a son, Colby Dale Brown of Perryton; a sister, Evelyn Babitzke of Canadian; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. They suggest memorials be to the Kidney Foundation or 4-H.
