He was 58. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Blackwell First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jackie Crafton officiating. Burial will be in the Blackwell IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Roberts and Son Funeral Home. Members of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War will make the American Flag presentation. Charles Edward Reynolds was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Wilburton, the son of Everett and Mary (Francis) Reynolds. He grew up and attended schools in Wilburton. During the 1950s he entered and served in the U.S. Navy, then returned to Oklahoma after his discharge. On March 11, 1965, he was married to Opal Marie Ross in Guthrie and the couple made their first home in Blackwell. They later moved to California, where Reynolds was employed as a truck driver for eight years. They then moved to Oklahoma City, where he was employed as a truck driver for Graham's Pest Control and worked as a specialist in weed control. While living in Oklahoma City for eight years he studied electronics at Elkins Institute. The family moved to Blackwell in 1977 and Reynolds became disabled in 1980. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Opal Marie Reynolds of the home; one daughter, Tina Lopez of Blackwell; two sons, Steven Eugene Edgar of Lorena, Texas, and Corey D. Edgar of Perry; three brothers, Johnny of Oswego, Kan., Delmar of Blackwell and Bernie Gene of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mary Marlow of Martinez, Calif., and Shirley McBride of Ponca City; and seven grandchildren.
