All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::?--Cary NC Maxwell Craig Corbin CARY, N.C. - Maxwell Craig Corbin, 51, a former Amarillo resident, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Chapel at Craig Methodist Retirement Community in Amarillo, 5500 W. ninth Ave., with the Rev. Dean Wynn, chaplain, officiating. Burial will be in Cary. Mr. Corbin was born in Ponca City, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1948 with his family. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1965 and received graduate degrees from Texas Tech University at Lubbock and the University of Texas at Austin in psychology, Spanish and linguistics. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and taught Spanish on the high school level before working on his doctorate degree in languages at the University of Texas at Austin. He was associated with IBM at Cary and traveled extensively around the world for IBM. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; his mother, Anne Corbin of Amarillo; and a brother, Phil Corbin of Amarillo. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity.
