He was born September 21, 1926, in Atchison, Kansas to Edwin Flynn and Gladys Bele Bechtold. Donald served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the First Christan Church of Newkirk, Oklahoma and retired from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. Some of his hobbies included golfing and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Nadine, of the home; sons and daughter in law Jack and Deborah Fortenberry of Oklahoma City, and Preston McConnell of Yukon; daughter and son in law Sheryl Mason of Yukon, and Kathy and Donnal Rancher of San Antonio, Texas; brothers Edwin Bechtold of Tulsa, and Joe Bechtold of Colorado; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
