Lou Ethel Ellsworth

SPEARMAN - Lou Ethel Ellsworth, 95, died Monday, May 3, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church with 
the Rev. Joseph Weaks officiating. Burial will be in Hansford 
Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Mrs. Ellsworth was born in Pocahontas, Ark., and moved to Spearman 70 
years ago from Blackwell, Okla. She was employed by the Hansford 
Hospital District from 1966 until her retirement in 1982. She was a 
member of First Christian Church and the Dahlia Flower Club.

She married William Alvin Ellsworth in 1923 at Winfield, Kan. She was 
preceded in death by her husband in 1966 and by a daughter, Betty Lou 
Mays, in 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Alton Ellsworth and Wayne Ellsworth, both 
of Spearman; a brother, Paul Janow of Roswell, N.M.; nine 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church Building 
Fund or a favorite charity.
