Frank Eugene Carter

Frank Eugene Carter, lifelong Kay County resident, died Tuesday, July 9, 
1996, at his home in Ponca City. He was 71.

The funeral was to be held graveside today at Resthaven Memorial Park 
Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Graham, pastor of Ponca City Second Baptist 
Church, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Grace 
Memorial Chapel.

Frank Carter was born July 18, 1924, northwest of Ponca City in the 
Autwine Community. 

He was the son of Pinkey W. and Nellie Kathryn (Bickler) Carter.

On July 25, 1950, he was married to Ruth Howard in Ponca City and the 
couple established their home and farmed northeast of Ponca City. 

Carter was a member of the Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Ruth, of the home; one son, Stanley Lee of 
Enid; one daughter, Patricia Kay Redd of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, 
Nellie Kathryn Klinger of Ponca City; one brother, Raymond of Monrovia, 
Calif.; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, three 
step-brothers and one step-sister.
