FRIONA - Frances Smith, 83, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002.


Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Friona United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Don Boren, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by
Blackwell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was a resident of Friona since 1937, moving from Canyon. She
was a member of Friona United Methodist Church and Friona Senior Citizens.
She married Lewis L. Smith on Nov. 24, 1937, in Clovis, N.M.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 25, 1985; and a son,
Dale Smith, on Dec. 14, 1982.

Survivors include a son, David Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister,
Margarette Snyder of Blackwell, Okla.; two brothers, Cecil Bolding of
Duncan, Okla., and Marvin Bolding of Luling, La.; four grandchildren, Amber
Smith, Toby Smith, Winter Smith and Zachary Smith; and a great-grandchild,
Lindsay Nicole Smith.

The family suggests memorials be to Friona United Methodist Church.
