All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Biyke Mukhtarpashaevna "Bella" Horinek Biyke Mukhtarpashaevna "Bella" Horinek, Ponca City resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001 near Tulsa, the result of an automobile accident. Her loving mother-in-law, Alcina Grell, died in the same accident. She was 48. The daughter of Mukhtarpasha and Patimat (Salimova) Adilova, she was born Dec. 4, 1952 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. When she was 13 years of age her family moved to Makhachkla, Dagestan where she grew up and received her education. She graduated from the University of Makhachkla with Bachelors Degrees of Mathematics and Economic and a Masters Degree of Computer Science. Later, Bella earned a PH.D. of Physics at the University of Moscow. Bella was a professor of Computer Science at the University of Makhachkla while continuing her Education through the years. When the Soviet Union collapsed, Bella left teaching and worked at a local bank in Makhackla for five years where she was vice president of computer operations when she left to come to the United States in May of 1997. She lived with Larry and Janice Clinton of Ponca City for a year while they helped her to become established and to master the English language. Bella was employed as a design engineer in research and development at Pelton Co. in Ponca City for the last four years. She was a member of the International Club in Ponca City. Bella and Bruce Horinek were married June 1, 2000, in Stillwater. Her greatest joy was her multitude of friends, her flower gardens and antiques. In addition to her husband Bruce, she is survived by one daughter, Nasiba Adilova, a senior at OSU in Stillwater; her parents Mukhtarpasha and Patimet Adilova, a sister Asya Unusova, a brother, Rasul Adilova, all of Makhachkala, Dagestan; and her very good friends, Larry and Janice Clinton of Ponca City. The funeral service was held at 7:30 p.m., Nov 21 in the Tulsa Mosque of the Islamic Society. Her private burial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Newkirk Cemetery. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Nov. 27 at Northeast Baptist Church, 2200 N. Pecan, Ponca City, with the Rev. Larry Nigh officiating. Miller-Stahl Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established with the Northern Oklahoma Scholarship Foundation. Contributions may be made through the Bank of Oklahoma in either Newkirk or Ponca City. ---
