She passed beyond at her home in Tonkawa, July 7, 1941, at the age of 77 years. On May 6, 1886, she was united in marriage to Major Mark L. Thomson at Des Moines, Iowa. They established their home at Earlham, Iowa, where they lived until 1902 when they moved to Cedar Vale, Kans., living there until 1911. In August of that year they came to Tonkawa. Major Thomson preceded her in death in 1916. There were six children born to this union, Robert, Major Isaac L., Elizabeth (Crosswaite), Mabelle Audrey (French), Eleanor (McFadden) and Mary Catherine (Thomson). In addition she reared six step children; Jane, Hugh Mark, Maude, Agnes, Margaret and Ainie. Mrs. Thomson was devoted to her home and family, giving of her time and energies to her children and to her 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In her early life she united with the Methodist Church. She was a member of the local Methodist church and was active in its work. She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist church here Wednesday with the Rev. H.D. Tomlin in charge assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Stewart of the local Presbyterian church. Interment was in the Tonkawa I.O.O.F. cemetery. A quartette composed of Mrs. Vernon McDaniel, Nesbitt Barker, Orville Roper and Mrs. Ferne Boucher sang two numbers, "Abide With Me," and "Guide Me, Oh Thou Great Jehovah." Mrs. Boucher sang as a solo, "Crossing The Bar." Pall bearers were German French, Joe McFadden, Ralph Bunyan, Irving Ross, James Bradley, and Roy Smith.
