She was 64. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Doug Scott officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Joe Muniz. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Joy Dean (Holloway) Sears was born April 21, 1932 in Rosedale, Ark., the daughter of Harry and Oatha (Quinton) Holloway. She received her early education in the Morrow, Ark., area. She was married to Cecil M. Sears on April 30, 1946, in Columbus, Kan., and the couple established their first home in Yakima, Wash. They moved to Ponca City in February 1956, then later to Ventura, Calif. in 1968. They moved back to Ponca City in 1993. Mrs. Sears was a homemaker most of her life and in earlier years, enjoyed craft painting. She was a member of the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church of Ponca City. Survivors include her husband, Cecil, of the home; one son, Garyon C. of Ponca City; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Phyllis R.) McKay of Ponca City, Mrs. Leroy (Sandra L.) Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Carl (Nancy K.) Thornton of Ventura, Calif; her mother, Oatha Harrison of Fayetteville, Ark.; one half-brother, Harry Leon Holloway of rural Fayetteville, Ark.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one nephew and one niece. She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson. Casket bearers will be L.D. Sears, Kevin Sears and Bill Punches and grandsons, Jason Miller, Matthew Anderson and Mark McKay. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joy Dean Sears, to the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, 114 North Oak, Ponca City, OK 74601.
