Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Crossroads Baptist Church in The Woodlands, 6565 Research Forest Drive. Burial: Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 I-45 North, Conroe. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the children's college funds. Doug was born in Ponca City, Okla., on Dec. 8, 1966. He grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Crowley High School. He obtained his bachelor of business administration in accounting from Texas A&M University in 1989. His career began at Texaco, where he earned his CPA certification. He then went on to work for Compaq/Hewlett Packard, where he was a highly respected and dedicated employee. He will be greatly missed by his co-workers at Hewlett Packard. Doug was a loving husband and wonderful father who especially loved the outdoors. Doug also enjoyed restoring a recently acquired 1970 Ford Mustang. Doug was an individual who made a positive impact on everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Wayne Karrenbrock. Survivors: His wife of 16 years, Melanie Montgomery Karrenbrock; son, Zachary, 13; daughters, Chelsea, 9, and Allie, 4; mother, Marciadean Harrison and stepfather, Richard; father, Fred Karrenbrock and stepmother, Glenda; in-laws Harry "Cap" H.
