Leslie Coleman

Leslie George Aaron Coleman, Jr. former Newkirk resident, died Tuesday, June 
8, 1999 at his home in Enid. He was 37.

The son of Leslie Aaron and Lucille Hazel Marie (Booth) Coleman, he was born 
January 23, 1962 in Tulsa. 

He grew up and attended school in Ponca City and Newkirk. 

After leaving school he lived in California, Arkansas, Ponca City and the 
Tulsa area. 

He worked for a time with his father in a tree service. Later he worked as 
a carpenter. 

He moved to Enid in March, 1999. 

He enjoyed fishing, drawing, wood working, billiards, riding motorcycles, 
and working on cars.

Survivors include one son, Jackie Dale Coleman of Supulpa; four daughters, 
Patti Jean Coleman, Nicky Marie Coleman, Angela Lea Coleman and Christina 
Coleman, all of Supulpa; his mother, Lucille Jones of Newkirk; his father 
and step mother, Leslie and Joyce Ann Coleman of Supulpa; one brother, Charles 
Hudson of Ponca City; four half brothers, Jackie Coleman of Tulsa, Ricky 
Coleman, Mitchell Coleman and Donald Coleman, all of Supulpa; four sisters, 
Mary Smith of Tulsa, Wilma Rash of Enid, Kimberly Jensen of Arkansas City, 
and Wanda Mahoha of Ponca City; six half sisters, Joann Darnell, Nancy Henry, 
Josie Clark, and Patricia Fagen, all of Supulpa, Joann Coleman and Lucy 
Coleman, both of Tulsa; and his grandmother, Minnie Rebecca Booth of Newkirk.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jason Coleman; two brothers, 
Jackie Coleman and John Dale Coleman; and one sister, Rebecca Coleman; 
and his paternal grandparents, Donald and Josie Coleman.

The funeral was held at 1 pm Friday, June 11 in Miller-Stahl Funeral Chapel 
with the Rev. Wallace Suter, minister of the Newkirk Calvary Temple officiating. 

Burial was in the Sand Ridge Cemetery near Collinsville.
