All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm =================================================================== Elizabeth Klarman Elizabeth Klarman was born in Ketso Bauch, Germany, January 14, 1857, and died at Ponca City in Sisters of St. Joseph's hospital, July 20, 1924. She came with her parents to America in 1861 and settled near Springfield, Ohio. From there she moved to Effingham County, Illinois, where at the age of 19, she was united in marriage to Lafayette Smedley, who died on April 5, 1911. To this union was born five daughters, all of whom are living. They are: Mrs. Ada Strotta of Cedarville, California; Mrs. Augusta Myer of Ponca City; Mrs. Dora McMillian of Santa Anna, California; Mrs. Lula Wade of San Diego, California; and Mrs. Birdie Cain of Ponca City. She is also survived by three sisters, one brother, 14 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. In her early life she united with the Evangelical church and in later life put her membership in the Christian church, in which faith she remained a faithful adherent to the end.
