She was 64. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Peters United Methodist Church, 20775 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, Texas, 77450, with the Rev. Jim Foster officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home of Houston. Mary Landers was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Dallas. She earned her bachelor's degree in child development at Texas Women's University. On June 6, 1953, she was married to James E. "Jim" Landers and they made their first home in Ponca City. They lived in Ponca City until the late 1960s then moved to various locations following his career with Conoco, including Stamford, Conn., Wilmington, Del., and Billings, Mont. After their retirement in 1988, the couple divided their time between Houston and Kauai. Mrs. Landers was a member of the St. Peter's United Methodist Church and the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Katy. She is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home in Katy; two daughters, Susan Elaine Massaro and Katheryn Jean Landers; and three grandchildren.
