Miller 71, a resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma for 54 years died Tuesday afternoon Nov. 13, 1972 in the Arkansas City Memorial Hospital. She had been in ill health for the past three months. Born July 11, 1901 at Pocahontas, Arkansas, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Weaver and Mary Elisabeth Jenkins Weaver, she received her education near there in Randolph County. On August 16, 1916,she was married to W.A. Miller at Nolan, Arkansas and they made their first home at Ravenden, Arkansas, moving to Ponca City, Oklahoma in 1918. Mr. Miller was associated with Midwest Ice Company and later worked for the Continental Oil Company. He died Nov. 10, 1952. Mrs. Miller owned and operated three rest homes here on East South Avenue, North Palm and South Elm for a number of years. She was a member of the Salvation Army. Survivors include two sons, Clifford Miller, and Ralph B. Miller; three daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Shirley) Augustine, Salina, Kansas, Mrs. Lorene Lum of Newkirk and Mrs. Jim (Maxine) Burns, Amarillo; one brother George Weaver, Pocahontas, 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Clifford J. on June 5, 1968 and an infant son Clyde J. in 1931, two brothers, James A. Weaver and Arthur Weaver, three sisters Myrtle, Mary Ellen, and Lucinda and a grandson who was killed in Vietnam. Funeral services were held Thursday Nov. 15 in the Grace Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Clifford Fite, pastor of Sunset Baptist Church officiating. Burial in Longwood Cemetery. ---
