::Hillcrest Cemetery--Bakersfield CA 

Edith Fern Miller Jan. 7, 1912 Sept. 13, 2002

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 
Hillcrest Cemetery at 10 a.m. Edith was born in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. She 
married Thomas Miller in 1932. They moved to Bakersfield in 1939 with 
their 2 sons where Thomas was in the used car business with his 
brother. They later moved to Livermore, Calif where Thomas was with 
the Ford dealer and Edith worked as a secretary in the Livermore 
Research Laboratory. Upon retirement they returned to Bakersfield to 
spend their remaining years.

Preceding Edith in death was her beloved husband for 56 years, Thomas 
in 1988 and her son Edward in 1989 who was a retired Captain of the 
Bakersfield Police Dept. She is survived by her oldest son, Melvin of 
Bakersfield; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the 
Salvation Army.

Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. at Mish Funeral Home-Oildale.
