All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm =================================================================== Olen Vestie Aynes "Olen Vestie Aynes, 78, died early Wednsday morning at Highland Nursing Center after a short illness. "Born Feb 10, 1908 near Genesco, Kan., he was the son of Israel and Ellen Aynes. He attended area schools in Elsworth County, Kan. "In October 1919 he moved with his parents to Latimer County, Okla., in a covered wagon. He attended high school at Tuskahoma and Marland. "Aynes had farmes in the area for a number of years and had worked for the Federal Aviation Administration. "He was a lifetime member of the Odd Fellows Lodge 29, Ponca City and was a member of Community Christian Church. "He is survived by three brothers, Elwood and Francis Aynes, both of Ponca City, and Kenneth Aynes of Brookings, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Idabelle Anson of Ponca City and Mrs. Rachel Russell of Oklahoma City; several neices and nephews. "Funeral will be at 10:00 am Friday in the Chapel of Gill-Lessert Funeral Home with Dr. Donald E. Parsons, pastor of Community Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. "Casketbearers will be Garland Russell, Van Wayne Russell, Gene Hudsonpillar, Arthur Hall, Fred Anson, and Lester Anson. "The family will be at the Anson home, 117 North Eleventh."
