Services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sunnybrook Christian Church with the Rev. Kent Williams and Manny Loveall officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at the Resthaven Sunset Memorial Park in Ponca City. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Strode Funeral Home. Bennett was born May 6, 1941, in Shidler, to Charles Lloyd Billingsley Sr. and Zelma Haley Billingsley. She graduated from Shidler High School in 1959. After graduating high school, she married Eugene N. Smith June 9, 1959, in Shidler. The couple moved to South Dakota for a short period of time. They then moved back to the Shidler area and she went to work for the Shidler Telephone Company. Then in 1987, she moved to Ponca City, where she worked for Dr. Glasscock. After leaving her position with Dr. Glasscock, she went to work for Nickles Machine as the personnel manager. Later, after her divorce from Eugene, Bennett met and married Warren Bennett Sept. 9, 1988, in Ponca City. At this time, Bennett went to work for the Oklahoma Employment Service as an interviewer. In June 2001, she retired so that she could take care of her mother. She loved to cook and sew. She also loved spending time with her friends and especially with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Sunnybrook Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Lloyd Billingsley Jr., son, Phillip Eugene Smith, and daughter, Kay Ellen Smith. Bennett is survived by her husband, Warren Bennett of the home; one son, James Lloyd Smith, Blackwell; daughter, Kelly Smith-Troutman, Ponca City; two step- sons, Adam Bennett, Chandler, N.C., and Victor Bennett, Ponca City; and two step-daughters, Kelly Payne, Ponca City, and Kenda Davis, New York City, N.Y.; nephew, Michael Billingsley, Amarillo, Texas; nieces, Stacey Bowen, Newkirk, Beth Leven, Newkirk; sister-in-law, Shirley Billingsley, Newkirk; and her uncle, William Haley and wife Doris, St. Matthews, S.C.. Pallbearers will be James Smith, Tyler Smith, Rob Morgan, John Leven, Keith Bowen and Mike Daugherty. Memorials can be made o the Judith Karman Hospice, P.O. Box 818, Stillwater, 74076.
