She was 88. A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 29 in the Newkirk Cemetery with the Rev. Pernina Weatherman, minister of the Newkirk Assembly of God officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller- Stahl Funeral Service. Ruby Belle Lewis was born January 14, 1911 in Payne County, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Nancy (Turner) Noteware. She received her education in the Deer Creek Rural School. On January 8, 1933 she and William Henry Lewis were married at Guthrie. They made their home in Newkirk area. Mr. Lewis died in June 1945. Except for a few years she and her children lived in Arkansas and Louisiana, Mrs. Lewis has made her home in the Newkirk area. She worked for a number of years in various cafes and restaurants. She attended the Assembly of God Church, and she enjoyed her family and working in her yard. She is survived by one son, Tommy Lewis of Newkirk; one daughter, Bonnie Maple of Peckham; one sister, Lois P. Ramsey of Newkirk; eight grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Donald Lewis, her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
