Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Irving, Texas, with Father Aidan O'Donnovan officiating. Entombment will be at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Texas, under direction of Brown's Memorial Funeral Home, Irving. He was born Sept. 22, 1946, in Ponca City. He attended grade school in Wichita Falls, Texas, and graduated from high school in Irving. He joined the Air Force and was stationed in Arkansas. Postwar he worked as a technician on the "Dew Line" radar defense in Greenland. He was also employed in Saudi Arabia to teach math to Saudi pilots and in Iran to teach English to Iranian pilots. After the overthrow of the Shah of Iran, he returned to the United States. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Houston, where he graduated with honors. He earned his MBA from Southwestern Oklahoma State College at Durant. He settled in Durant and operated a private investment company. Survivors include his father, Alfred F. Schram Sr., Irving; a brother, Alfred F. Schram Jr., Irving; a sister, Margaret Hodgkins, Denison; a niece, Kerry Hodgkins, Anchorage, Ala.; a nephew, Sean Hodgkins, Denison, Texas; two uncles: George Allman, Houston, Texas; and Harold Hickman, Lawton; two aunts: Marie Allman, Houston, Texas; and Genevieve Hickman, Lawton; and many cousins.
