She was 94. Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, at Albright United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Sheila Combs-Francis, pastor, officiating. Casket bearers will be Jim Chambers, John Lansdown, Eldrige Manering, Don Appleman, Charles Keltner and Bill Kirkpatrick. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Trout Funeral Home. Treo was born July 8, 1908, in Como, Texas, the daughter of L.F. and Lula E. Meeks Coker. She was the oldest of their nine children. She married Perry Vanderslice on August 12, 1929, in Picton, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1999. The couple moved to Ponca City in 1929 where she worked for Sweetbrier Ladies Ready To Wear for 32 years as a sales clerk and assistant manager. She loved gardening, flowers, sewing, but especially spending time with her family. She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Mothers Club, Fancheon Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, past worthy matron, and was currently holding the office of Ester. She enjoyed her good friends and visitations. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Heminger of Tulsa; son, Wayne Vanderslice of Corsicana, Texas, grandson, David Vanderslice of Dallas, Texas, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Glenna Faye Guest of Sulfur Springs, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and seven brothers and sisters. Memorial donations may be made in Treo's name to Albright United Methodist Church, 128 S. Palm, Ponca City, Okla. 74601 or to Hospice of Ponca City, 1904 N.
