He was 72. The son of Will and Minnie Alma (Todd) Burdick, he was born September 14, 1926 at Andalusia, Alabama. He grew up and attended school in Alabama. In September 1942 he enlisted in the Marines and served in the California and Pacific areas before his discharge in October 1945. He then finished high school and received his diploma. He also attended an agriculture school in San Luis Obispo, California. He entered the U.S. Air Force in October 1951 and served in Omaha, Nebraska, Cheyenne, Wyoming and Morocco. He received his discharge in 1955. On January 9, 1953 he and Naoma Aletta Clark were married in Cheyenne Wyoming. They made their home wherever he was stationed with the service. After his discharge they moved to El Centro, California where they lived for two years before moving to Mountain Grove, Missouri. He worked as a plumber by trade. In 1967 they moved to DeFuniak, Florida where they lived until they retired in 1991 and moved to Kildare. He is survived by sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Mrs. Burdick died March 7, 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, two step brothers and one step sister. Private burial was held at 2 pm on Monday, July 26 in the Newkirk Cemetery.
