Committal will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Tonkawa. Rev. Jim Hodson will officiate. Jessie Chlorenda (Covill) Wile was born Friday, Nov. 11, 1910, in Ponca City to Roy Walter and Anna Mae (Mills) Covill. She passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, in Durant at the age of 94 years, two months and 16 days. She graduated in 1929 from Ponca City High. She worked part time at Montgomery-Ward in Ponca City and at Moore's Clothing. She worked at the gift shop in King's Daughters and Sons. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing and was an avid bird watcher. Jessie married Lyndel W. Wile on July 11, 1936, at a Christian Parsonage in Tonkawa. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Birthday-Sewing Club and was a member of the Christian Church. She was an active member of Prime Timers at the Christian Church. Jessie was a loving mother, wife, aunt, sister and friend. She was a kind, thoughtful and caring person whose kindness touched many lives. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Gladys Edwards Covill; son LaVerne; sister and brother-in-law Flora and Dinty Moore; longtime friend Mary Cole Ballinger; sister-in-law Hazel Vincent; and nephew Arlyn Vincent. She is survived by son Lynn Ralph Wile and wife Jan; step-grandson Shawn Kivela; step-great-granddaughter Shandra Kivela; son Roy Harvey Wile and wife Ruby; grandsons Adam Wile and Andy Wile and wife Sheri; great-granddaughter Remi; and nieces Sally Franty and Pat Dunham and husband Phil. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the "Loved Ones Foundation" at the Hospice Center of Durant, 618 Bryan Dr., Durant, OK, 747401.
