E. McElwane, J. E. Britton, Robert Callisson and George Sturgeon each gave 1 acre for a Church and a Cemetery. This was printed in the Kingfisher times and free press. The legal description is section 12, township 19 and range 2. Located in N. W. corner of the county. I was allowed to copy the original map. The original list of lot owners and this is where we come to the spelling of the different names. I walked each cemetery that I have transcribed and used the names from the stones and their spelling. The paper had one spelling, the list of owners had a diffirent and the stone still diffirent from the other two. I hope that any one looking for a name can decide for their self which one is correct and as some changed the spelling maybe all are right. Lee Sturgeon died before the cemetery was established and was buried in his fathers door yard. Later moved to the cemetery he and the Croft child were its first burials. This is the record I have been able to put to gather from the actual walking of the cemeteries and from other records that they have. On the List we have this is #1. This list was complied by Mr. House and Mr. Nelson, they also made a map showing where each one is.
