All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== The Kingfisher Times & Free Press, Kingfisher, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 16, 2002 (((Photo))) James Olaf Anglin Funeral services for James Olaf Anglin, 82, of Guthrie, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at Harmony Community Church, west of Guthrie, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Guthrie. Burial will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery in Kingfisher. Olaf was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Hennessey, the only child of Marion B. and Grace Blodgett Anglin. He went to be with his Lord suddenly Jan. 13, 2002. A graduate of Kingfisher High School in 1937, Olaf attended college at Alva, but left college to come home and marry his sweetheart Clairetta Mae York on July 23, 1939. Of their union were born three sons, identical twins Dennis and Donald, and youngest son Jim. Except for early life in the Enid area and a short time in Bartlesville, Olaf spent most of his life in and around the Kingfisher, Cashion and Guthrie area. He was a member of the IOOF, Lions Club, past Cashion Community Bank director and past member of the Cashion Volunteer Fire Department. Olaf was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Donald Eugene and James Olaf Jr. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Clairetta of Cimarron Care Center in Kingfisher; one son, Dennis and wife Beth of Guthrie; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davis Funeral Home.
