All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Green Hill Cemetery--Lindsay OK B G Boydston Funeral Home Billy Joe "Bill" Carter April 5, 1935 - February 26, 2005 Bill Carter of Lindsay, Oklahoma passed away February 26, 2005, at the age of 69. He was born April 5, 1935 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to John and Lula Mae Carter. He married Hazel Boatright in Carlsbad, New Mexico on May 18, 1957. He moved to Lindsay from Hobbs, New Mexico in 1973 and worked for Shebester Well Service. Bill was also owner and operator of three metal recycling shops. Bill was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Lindsay, OK, and a FFA Supporter from 1980 to 1986. He enjoyed going to livestock shows, OU Football and playing with his grand kids as well as visiting with his family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Allen Dale, three brothers, Martin Carter, Melvin Carter, and Raymond Carter, three sisters, Juanita Maxwell, Ruby Beets, and Christine Maddox. He is survived by his wife, Hazel, one son Bobby Joe Carter and his daughter, Lorri Martinez, three brothers, John Carter, Jr., Leroy Carter, Wayne Carter, two sisters, Ruth Slemp, Shirley Hudson and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Patrick and Kyle Carter, from Lindsay, OK, Chassie and Clinton Carter, of Davis, Oklahoma, Patricia Merrell, of Oklahoma City, and one great-grandchild, Jose Merrell, of Oklahoma City. Services for Bill will be March 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, Lindsay, Ok, with Rev. Rodney Hutcheson and Rev. John Hornbeck officiating.
