Ezra T. Smith: S530 Ezra T. Smith was born August 18, 1884, near Gainesville, Ozark County, Missouri, and passed away at Kingfisher on April 23, 1938, having reached the age of 53 years, 8 months and 5 days. Death came after quite a long and lingering illness. At an early age Mr. Smith united with the Baptist church while residing in Missouri, and continued to retain his membership there. For a number of years he attended the Methodist Sunday school regularly. On November 10, 1929, he was united in marriage to Florence Southwick. Mr. Smith leaves to mourn: his wife; two step-daughters, Leaetta and Rebecca Southwick; one sister, Mrs. Leoron Orr; two brothers, Will and Cal Smith, all of Kingfisher. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Smith was a man well liked, a kind and loving husband. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist-Congregational church, with Rev. A.F. Whitehurst of the Baptist church officiating. Interment was made in the New Home Cemetery. {{Note: Mr. Smith is buried at Banner Cemetery, not New Home as stated in obit.}}
