Mrs. Catharine Gramlich died at her home in Lynn township at 1 a.m. April 9, 1908, aged 53 years, 9 months, 17 days. She was the daughter of John and Mary Jauch, was born in Poughkeepsie, N. Y., June 22, 1854, moved to Ottawa, Ill., in 1856. From there to Kansas City, Mo., in 1858, where she remained 10 years, then again emigrating to Brown Co., Kansas, in 1868. She was married to John Gramlich, October 18, 1874, in Brown Co., Kansas. To this couple were born 10 children, all of whom are living except one son, Anthony, who died in 1897, aged 9 years. Leaving Kansas in 1891 the family moved to Kingfisher Co., Okla., locating in Lynn township, where they still reside. Mrs Gramlich was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and will be greatly missed in her home and in the community where she resided. The deceased had been a sufferer for about one year from a complication of diseases. The best of medical aid was summoned to allay her suffering but all to no avail and death claimed her on April 9. She leaves a husband, 9 children, 5 sons and 4 daughters who greatly mourn her loss. Funeral services were held at the Clear Creek school house, April 10, con- ducted by Rev. R. B. Shannon, and interment in the Clear Creek cemetery.
