All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== The Kingfisher Times & Free Press, Kingfisher, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 16, 2002 Hilda Kloeppel Hilda Kloeppel, 97, of Kingfisher died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Saint Ann's in Oklahoma City. Wake services were held Tuesday in the Sanders Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was set for 10 a.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Stansberry officiating. Burial followed in the Kingfisher Cemetery. She was born March 2, 1904, in Hitchcock to Martin and Anna Schmitz Strack. She married John Kloeppel on Nov. 25, 1925, in Okeene. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1952. They bought a farm near Kingfisher in 1935. She moved into Kingfisher in 1952. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was nominated as Woman of the Year by the National Council of Catholic Women and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Survivors include three sons, Albert Kloeppel and wife Ann and Joe Kloeppel and wife Jeanette, all of Kingfisher, and Lawrence Kloeppel and wife Roberta of Joplin, Mo.; four daughters, Louise Gruntmeir of Okarche, Irene Cole and husband Jim of Broken Arrow and Lucille Sund and husband Jack of Oklahoma City; one sister, Louise Quintle of Omega; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandsons, six brothers and one sister.
