Born Lorene Alta Wilson on a farm near Hennessey, Oklahoma, August 2, 1912, she and her younger brother Walt were hard workers. By eleven, Lorene prepared meals for harvest hands, while everyone else worked the fields. She was a good student, and a teen-age beauty queen. In Enid, attending business college, her beauty was noticed by Fred Livingston. On August 22, 1932, they were married. Fred and Walt established the Livingston & Wilson Exploration Drilling Company in 1942. Finally settling in Longmont, Colorado, Fred and Lorene raised two sons and helped build a new church fellowship. They moved to Tucson in 1985. Fred left for his Home in 1996. Lorene devoted her life to husband, children, church, and the many people whose lives she touched. She gave tirelessly to others, modeling faith, gratitude, and optimism in a life dedicated to others, which included being the co-youth director at their church in Longmont. She is survived by sons, Mike, a singer, and Pat, a photographer; grandsons, David, Daniel and Brady; her brother, Everett Wilson, and an ocean of love and good will left behind. Services will be at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 23rd. A memorial tribute to Lorene's long, productive life will be at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 750 W. Chapala, near Ina & Oracle, Sunday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m. All are invited to a photography retrospective, an organ and voice recital, congregational singing, words of remembrance and joy, and reception.
