Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born May 30, 1913 in Hennessey to Edgar and Esta (McCollum) Hibish, she died Tuesday, April 26 in Davis. She grew up in Hennessey and graduated from Hennessey High School and then attended college for one year at Winfield, Kans. She later graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. She taught music at Hennessey and Wilson for a short time and loved to play the violin, winning many awards. On December 27, 1935 she married Ralph W. Morton in Grandfield. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1968 after a lengthy medical career in Sulphur. She moved with him to Sulphur in 1946 when he began his medical practice. She was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church where she frequently played the violin at church and wedding ceremonies. She also performed at the Ardmore Symphony. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tom Drake, Davis; three sons, Edward L. Morton, Houston, Texas, Thomas W. Morton, Sulphur and William H. Morton, Olean, New York; five grandchildren, Stacey Harness, Ashley Wiley, Leslie Schlarb, Paige Magee and Faith Westervelt; 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Murrow Ruth, Edmond. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Murrow Morton; one brother and one sister. Pallbearers were Ronnie Pierce, Eugene "Fuzz" Kennedy, David Pittman, Allen "Butch" Hill, Eric Reubin and De Lannom.
