Rosary was held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Revs. Rick Stansberry and Price Oswalt officiating. He was born Jan. 9, 1960, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Terrance "Huck" and Gladys Senn Rice. He married Margo Newberry on Sept. 17, 1994, in Kingfisher. He attended school in Mineral Wells and Kingfisher. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a chef and operated his own restaurant in Kingfisher for a time. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include his daughter, Emily Rose Rice of Kingfisher; his mother; two brothers, Terry Rice and wife Barbara and Tim Rice and wife Susie, all of King- fisher, and one sister, Patricia Gurski and husband Mike of Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Senn and Harriet Speice Rice. --- William "Bill" H. May: M000 William "Bill" H. May, 70, of Cleveland, formerly of Kingfisher, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Church of Christ in Kingfisher. Burial will follow in the Kingfisher Cemetery. He was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Weatherford to Polie and Emma May. He married Ruth Roberts on July 1, 1974. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army. He was employed by Farrar Construction in Dover, drove a truck for Arrow Truck- ing and was an owner-operator of a motel in Cleveland. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Enid with Rev. Danny Marney officiating. Burial followed in Del Norte Cemetery at Drummond. She was born March 4, 1908, in Kingfisher to William P. and Lula Thompson Seney. She married Elgin R. Suenram on April 8, 1928, in Fairview. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1990. She graduated from Lacy High School in 1927, and was a former member of the Bison Community Club. She was a housewife and a member of Pleasant Vale Church, east of Bison. Survivors include six daughters, Virginia Glow of Hennessey, Ellen Hill of Guthrie, Norma Quiggle and Margie Wagner, both of Enid, and Nina Whitley and LuAnn Brown, both of Bison; three sons, Raymond of Bison, William of Chester and Dennis of Enid; 42 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son. --- Floyd Wayne Kline: K450 Floyd Wayne Kline, 77, of Kingfisher died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at his home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Kingfisher with Lloyd Unsell and Ken Richter officiating. Burial will follow in the Kingfisher Cemetery. He was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Casey, Ill., to Edward and Bonnie Short Kline. He married Mary Hazen on Set. 30, 1949. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a lease operator for Getty Oil Company. His hobbies were traveling, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home, three daughters, Charlotte Doni- hoo of Oklahoma City and Brenda Maxwell and husband James and Peggy Markus and husband Steve, all of Kingfisher; one sister, Lorene Childress of Champaign, Ill.; 10 great-grandchildren. Sowards, 86, of Cashion died Friday, July 5, 2002, at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Cashion Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Cashion Cemetery, under direction of Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie. She was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Mountain Park to Bill and Eula Nichols. She was a member of the Cashion First Christian Church and the Eastern Star for more than 50 years, and had received her 50 year pin. Funeral services were held at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Hitchcock United Meth- odist Church with Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Burial followed in Cottonwood Cem- etery. She was born Dec. 29, 1933, in Longdale to John Leslie and Mary Etta Scott Jurey. She graduated from Longdale High School in 1952. She married L.D. "Dutch" Blehm in Watonga. They lived in the Hitchcock area. She served as a postmistress for a number of years and was later employed as a secretary for Blehm Mud Disposal. She was a member of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States, the Oklahoma Chapter of Postmasters and Hitchcock United Methodist Church, where she was the Sunday school secretary and belonged to the United Methodist Women. Survivors include her husband, Dutch; one son, Brad of Okeene; four sisters, Jean Gatz of El Reno, Hilda Rhodes of Capron, Jane Rutz of Oklahoma City and Mary Cay of Highlandville, Mo., and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. --- Dorothy Ann Ward: W630 Dorothy Ann Ward, 67, of El Reno, formally of Okarche, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at her home. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Phil Donohoe officiating. Burial followed in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home of El Reno. She was born Oct. 18, 1934, at Okarche to Louis and Sarah Trusty Barthelme. She married Chief J. Ward on April 19, 1958. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2000. She graduated from Benedictine Heights in Guthrie. She was employed at South- western Bell Telephone Co., the Daily Oklahoman and the Farmers Union. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, altar society, Bosom Buddies and a chamber of commerce volunteer. Survivors include two sons, Ridge Ward and wife Kathy of Okarche and Keith Ward and wife Shannon of El Reno; one brother, George Barthelme of Okarche; five sisters, Mildred Blake of Yukon, Leona Hau of Okarche, and Margaret Kliesen, Mary Rogers and Rose Waltman, all of Stillwater, and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, at Inglewood Cemetery in Inglewood, Calif. She was born Sept. 5, 1911, in Kingfisher. She married Melvin Koch on Dec. 24, 1952, in Culver City. She was a graduate of Kingfisher High School. Weber: W160 Eugene C. Weber, 82, of Okeene died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at his home. Funeral services were held Friday at the Okeene Assembly of God Church with Rev. Earl Eskue and Pastor D. Burchfiel officiating. Burial followed at Rose- lawn Cemetery at Okeene. He was born March 10, 1920, in Loyal to John and Lenora Geis Weber. He married Martha Dout on June 4, 1946. He later married Johnnie Faye Ryan on Nov. 6, 1980, at Borger, Texas. He was inducted into the Army on June 29, 1945, at Fort Chaffee, Ark., and spent time in Yuma, Ariz. He was engaged in farming, carpentry and worked for Phillips Petroleum and Fish Construction. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Loyal and recently began attending the Assembly of God Church in Okeene. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Faye of the home; two sons, Boyd of Kansas City, Mo., and Rory of Fairview; one daughter, Dianne Kennard and husband Larry of Okeene; one stepson, Steve Ryan and wife Bernie of Gruver, Texas; one step- daughter, Diana Darnehl and husband Melvin of Okarche; one sister, Eleanor Davis of Okarche; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren, and, and two step-great-grandchildren. He was born July 7, 1913, in Middleburg to Wight and Emma Tims Jones. He was married to Betty Lee Black. She preceded him in death in 1997. He was employed as an oil pumper and farmer. He was a member of the Crescent Masonic Lodge and his hobby was hunting. Survivors include one son-in-law, Veldon Zollinger; one brother, O.B. Jones; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was retired from the city of Edmond and a member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Edmond. Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemetery, under direction of Billings Funeral Home in Woodward. He was born Jan. 7, 1933, in Shattuck to Granville Oliver and Lois Angeline Greene Williams. He married Sue Oliver on Nov. 23, 1957, in Woodward. He graduated from Sharon High School in 1952. He attended Oklahoma A&M for one year before transferring to Panhandle State University. He served in the U.S. Army from September 1954 to May 1956. Following the Army, he returned to college at the University of Oklahoma. He worked for G.O. Williams Oil Company and farmed and ranched his entire life. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Lions Club in Woodward. His hobbies were hunting and restoring old cars. Survivors include his wife, Sue of the home; one son, Kurt O. Williams and wife Wendy of Norman; one daughter, Sally Jo Robertson and husband D.L. of Cashion, one sister, Karen Laubhan and husband Doug of Woodward; one brother, Doug Wil- liams of Woodward, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister. --- William Leroy Hamm: H500 William "Bill" Leroy Hamm, 40, of Enid, formerly of Kingfisher, died Friday, July 12, 2002, at Veteran's Hospital in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel in Enid. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery with full military honors provided by Vance Honor Guard. Burial followed in Grace Hill Cemetery, under direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. He was born March 22, 1943, in Perry to Lambert William and Juanita June Phenis Voss. He married Doris Walters on June 12, 1971, in Perry at the First Baptist Church. He was employed at Ditch Witch for 27 years, retiring in December 2000. He was a 1961 graduate of Perry High School and was a member and past president of the Quarterback Club in 1984, the Perry Maroon Chain Gang for over 20 years, and loved his Perry Maroons. He served in the Army National Guard and was a mem- ber of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Friday in Kingfisher with Rev. Joe Ince officiating. Burial followed in Kingfisher Cemetery. He was born March 13, 1913, in William to Robert and Bessie Miller. He married Ella Mae Gray on Aug. 20, 1938, in Phoenix, Ariz. She preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 1993. He was employed at Dolese, retiring in 1976, after 25 years of service. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Richards and husband Glen and Norma Jeter and husband Ronnie, all of Kingfisher, and Joyce Lumpkin and husband Kenneth of Oklahoma City; one sister, Edna Bias of Howe; one sister-in-law, Anna Miller of Stigler; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great- grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Terry Bunch. Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery, under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home of Hennessey. She was born in Mannford on Jan. 8, 1919, to Edwin and Carrie Kinnett Ward. She married Donald Perigo in Hennessey on Dec. 15, 1941. The couple lived and farmed west of Hennessey where they operated a dairy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. The survivors include two sons, Richard Perigo and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City, and Mac Perigo and wife Tammy of Enid; five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born in Enid on March 16, 1944, to Rudolf and Pauline Prochaska Sedlak. She married Jerry Siegmann in Moore on Sept. 12, 1964. Survivors include three sons, Todd Siegmann, Rodd Siegmann and wife Diane and Ryan Siegmann and wife Lori, and her father, Rudolf Sedlak, all of Hennessey, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, and her mother, Pauline Sedlak. --- Bessie C. Jones: J520 Bessie C. Jones, 91, of Kingfisher, mother of Barbara Alldredge of Kingfisher, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at Kingfisher. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Duncan City Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home of Duncan. She was born Oct. 31, 1910, at Rhea to Julius A. and Jessie A. Beam Rice. She married Vervin A. "VA" Jones on March 9, 1935. He preceded her in death. She was the resident director of the Enid General Hospital School of Nursing before retiring. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Alldredge and husband Robert A. of Kingfisher and Carolyn Booze of Edmond; five grandchildren and six great-grand- children. --- Verona June Johnson: J525 Verona June Johnson, 72, of Guthrie, formerly of Kingfisher, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Guthrie, followed by burial in Kingfisher Cemetery under direction of Davis Funeral Home. She was born July 12, 1930, at Lahoma to George and Hilda Kehnemund Johnson. A dairy farm manager, retiring in 1980, she lived in Kingfisher from 1964 to 1988 when she moved to Guthrie. She was a long-time member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kingfisher and served as church secretary. She had been a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Guthrie for the past two years. She also was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Survivors include one sister, Lois Backhaus and husband Marvin of Guthrie; a sister-in-law, Elsie Johnson of Kingfisher and a number of nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Verdean Johnson. --- Jose Ines Rodriguez: R362 Jose Ines Rodriguez, 90, of Kingfisher died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at a local nursing home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kingfisher with Rev. Price Oswalt officiating, followed by burial in Kingfisher Cemetery. He was born April 19, 1912, in San Luis, Mexico, to Simon and Estanilada Garcia Rodriguez. He and his wife came to the United States, settling in the Kingfisher area, when he was 76. Survivors include his wife, Isidra of the home; eight sons, Francisco of Dallas, Jaun of Mexico, Fidel of San Antonio, Jose, Simon, Ines, Augustin and Teodoro Rodriguez, all of Kingfisher; four daughters, Francisca Wallace of Oklahoma City, Maria Luisa Aguinaga and Manuela Gomez, both of Kingfisher, and Oralia Sauedo of Dallas; one sister, Matilde Laves; 50 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. ******************************************************************************** Wednesday, July 31, 2002 Charles Pospisil: P212 Charles Pospisil, 75, of Bison died at his home Thursday, July 25, 2002. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison with Rev. Larry Gatlin officiating, followed by burial at Calvary Cem- etery in Hennessey under direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Pospisil was born on the family farm near Bison on May 25, 1927, to Cyril and Antonie Harazim Pospisil. He married Mary Black in Bison on Nov. 25, 1947. He lived, farmed and worked in the Bison community his entire life. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison. He went to work for Garfield County District No. 3 in 1951 and retired after 38 years of service. He also drove a school bus for the Waukomis school district. He was a member of the Waukomis Lions Club, the K.D. Lodge and Moose Lodge of Enid and the Northwest Country and Western Dance Club. He served on the Waukomis school board for 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; four daughters, Charlene Parker and husband Ron, Charlotte Arnold and husband Larry and Donna Benell, all of Enid, and Denna Perigo and husband David of Bison, and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vera Streck. --- C.R. Throckmorton: T625 C.R. "Bob" Throckmorton, 79, of Hennessey died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at an Enid nursing home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at First Unied Methodist Church in Hennessey with Rev. Liz Brown officiating, followed by burial at Hennessey Cemetery under direction of Cordty-Gritz Funeral Home. Throckmorton was born in Hennessey on Dec. 25, 1922, to John Abner and Elma Anna Saur Throckmorton. He was reared in the Hennessey area and farmed in the vicinity for a number of years while also working at Roy Johnson Lumber Co. in Hennessey. He married Wilma Ann Geist in Hennessey on Sept. 14, 1944. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Craig and wife Linda of Edmond; one daughter, Jan and husband John W. Curran of Enid; four grandchildren, and two great-grand- children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Ann, one brother and one sister.
