All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== The Kingfisher Times & Free Press, Kingfisher, Oklahoma Sunday, January 6, 2002 Fern Viola Ross Fern Viola Ross, 70, of Dover died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. A memorial service was set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Dover Christian Church with Rev. Fred Jones officiating. She was born July 17, 1931, to Carl and Dorothy Sleeper Thom. She married Frank Ross on Dec. 24, 1966, in Medicine Lodge, Kan. She moved to Dover in 1993. She was employed at the Center of Family Love in Okarche for two years and as a custodian at the Dover Christian Church for the last several years. Survivors include her husband, Frank of the home; three sons, Jerry Smith and Terry Smith, both of Medicine Lodge, Kan., and Rod Smith of Isabel, Kan.; one daughter, Sandra Deviney of Crestview, Fla.; one sister, Mary Jeans of Oregon; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Harold (Carol) Castonguay of Kingfisher; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
