Land patent of Licurgus/Lycurgus Brown, son of John L. Augustus Brown 
(born in North Carolina) of Jackson and DeKalb, AL and Luquilla, a 
full blood Cherokee maiden (by tradition).  There is a William Brown
in 1909 who may be his brother:

Another relative died in 1896 in Arapaho, OK.  His name was .
Funtanell/Fontanell, (etc.) P. Brown who would have been a half 
brother? or brother to Licurgus Brown.  We are still trying to 
unravel all the marriages and children....but it was said Font 
got land in OK before 1896 (perhaps about 1892 based on his 
mother's Cherokee status).  Still trying to document this.
