All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star Sunday April 18, 2004 *SONNY & CODY BOYCE BOYCES TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY Sonny and Cody Boyce will be celebrating 50 years of marriage on April 24, 2004. They were married at the Assembly of God parsonage in Marlow, Okla. Sonny was born in Medicine Park, Okla., to W. T. and Loretta Boyce, and moved to Marlow at the age of nine, after living in various towns in Texas and Oklahoma. He attended elementary school at Oak Lawn, Okla., and upper grades in Marlow. Cody was born in Rush Springs to Delbert and Clara Mader, and attended school in Ninnekah, Okla., through grade school, moving to Marlow, where she attended school from eighth through her junior year, and graduating through a correspondence course. The couple lived throughout the state, following a career in road construction. They had three sons, Tim, Nicky, and Robby. In 1979, they moved to Chickasha, and Sonny worked in the area doing oil field construction until 1986, when he took a position as superintendent for Dallas County Road and Bridge District #1. He retired from there in 1997. After the loss of their son Nicky, who was a victim of muscular dystrophy, Cody began working in 1984 at the Chickasha Veterinary Hospital until taking a position at the First National Bank & Trust Company in 1987, where she is currently employed. Sonny and Cody have three grandsons, Michael and wife Jenny of Oklahoma City, Okla., David of Lawton, Okla., and Matthew of Duncan, Okla. They have one granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth of Lindsay, Okla. A reception will be held in the community room of the First National Bank on Sunday, April 25, hosted by their son, Robby and wife Jana, and grandchildren.
