BOYCE Funderal service for Eli E. "Sonny" Boyce, age 70, of Chickasha, is pending with the McRay Funeral Home. Eli E. "Sonny" Boyce was born September 5, 1934. He died November 25, 2004. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 28 November 2004 ELI E. "SONNY" BOYCE Funeral service for Eli E. "Sonny" Boyce, age 70 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Eli E. "Sonny" Boyce was born the son of W. T. "Bill" Boyce and Loretta Riggle Boyce on September 5, 1934, in Medicine Park, Oklahoma. He died on November 25, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sonny started working in road construction at the age of 15, and was a foreman for various road crews. He married Cora Faye Mader on April 24, 1954, in Marlow, Oklahoma. After their marriage, they lived in several places following Sonny's work. In 1979, they settled in Chickasha. Sonny continued working in road construction and began working in Dallas County in 1986. He retired in 1997. Sonny was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Nicky Boyce in 1984. Survivors include his wife, Cora Faye "Cody" Boyce of Chickasha; son & wife, Tim & Lynn Boyce of Bridgecreek; son & wife, Robby & Jana Boyce of Lindsay; grandson & wife, Michael & Jenny Lynn Boyce of Oklahoma City; grandson, David Boyce of Marlow; grandson, Matt Boyce of Duncan; granddaughter, Sara Beth Boyce of Lindsay; sister & husband, Billie & Jerry Briscoe of Wilcox, Arizona; sister & husband, Betty & Emmert Welch of Colorado; sister & husband, Linda & Doug Bennett of Tecumsah; sister & husband, Sandra & Charles Isenhower of McAlester; a host of nieces & nephews; many special friends, including lifelong friends, Bud & Dixie Webb of OKC. Interment will be in the Marlow Cemetery in Marlow. Service will be under the direciton of the McRay Funeral Home.
