M.O. Baldock

FARWELL - M.O. Baldock, 89, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Mortuary Chapel at 
Portales, N.M., with Wayne Venable officiating. Burial was in Floyd 
Cemetery at Floyd, N.M.

Mr. Baldock was born in Krum. He lived in Snyder, Okla., before 
moving to Farwell then lived in Colorado for 10 years. In 1947, he 
moved to the Floyd community, where he farmed until 1970. He was a 
member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

He married Sally Shelley in 1934 at Mountain Park, Okla. She died in 
1986.

Survivors include two sons, Jessie Baldock of San Benito and Lester 
Baldock of Amarillo; a daughter, Barbara Rector of Corpus Christi; 
two brothers, Walter Baldock of Clovis, N.M., and Gerald Baldock of 
Espanola, N.M.; two sisters, Tenny House of Bloomfield, N.M., and 
Juanita Bennett of Maryville, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
