Virginia Marie Capps

Virginia Marie Capps, 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard 
K. Batson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by N.S. 
Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Capps was born in Burkburnett and moved to Amarillo in 1950. For 21 
years, she worked in food service for the Amarillo Independent School 
District and since 1965, was a member of First Baptist Church.

She married Travis B. Capps in 1938 at Hobart, Okla. He died in 1991.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Boyd of Houston and Ginger Sample 
of Amarillo; her mother, Mae Lowe Dorrill of Amarillo; a sister, Bernice 
Daniels of Tucson, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

The family will be at 1010 Crockett and suggests memorials be to First 
Baptist Church; or Veteran's Hospital Nursing Home.
